This 28-year-old actress, born in Paris and raised in Seine-saint-Denis, got her start on one of the shows Monot and Honorable Mention Delphine Chanéac also appeared in: La vie devant nous, a teen drama about high school friends growing up together. Yung portrayed the character Jade Perrin from 2002-03.
From there, Yung continued her French television career, with the most notable roles being Fanny Ledoin in Mademoiselle Joubert, a drama series (2005-07) and Laura Maurier in Les bleus: premiers pas dans la police (The Blues: First Steps in the Police), a police drama (2006-10).
The dark-haired, tan-skinned beauty with a combination look of sexy and tomboy tough (comparable, perhaps, to Fast and Furious star Michelle Rodriguez) has also graced American screens in recent years, with her roles in two U.S. films: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011, as Miriam Wu) and GI Joe: Retaliation (2013, as Jinx).
One of Yung’s upcoming projects is an English-language indie comedy 10 Things I Hate About Life, but production on it has long been troubled, particularly due to the fact that, according to a Variety article in 2014, its star vessel, Evan Rachel Wood, pulled out amidst financial issues plaguing the film.
Yung need not worry too much if the film doesn’t pan out, though; she’s got three other projects also in the works.
